Beware of Foreclosure Rescue Scams

You should be extremely cautious when dealing with companies who claim that, for a fee, they can “save” your home from foreclosure or obtain a loan modification on your behalf.  Many of these companies merely take advantage of customers without providing any assistance at all.

Avoid organizations that:
• Charge a fee in exchange for housing counseling services or modification of a delinquent loan
• Instruct you not to contact Fay Servicing or insist that you make your mortgage payments to anyone other than your mortgage servicer
• Ask you to sign or transfer over the deed to your property to anyone other than Fay Servicing.
